Patiently waiting....

I'm not good at waiting. I'm dying to see the cover design to the book. Watch my blog and stay tuned for more details....

I am actually editing my manuscript!!!!

I have my manuscript in my hands!!!!! The publishing company emailed me my manuscript yesterday. It has gone through two phases of editing and now it is my job to review, correct and perfect! I also talked to the cover designer yesterday. I should have the finalized cover by the end of the month. I think I am still in shock! Thinking I might need another set of eyes to review it!
In the meantime, I have a sick kid and 7 sittings this week. Another set of eyes...what am I thinking....I need one more of me. I am sure my family would love that!

So many changes!!!

Where has the last year gone??? I can't believe it has been almost a year since my last post. I have lots of good excuses!
I have written a book about Ashley which is filled with tons of information for parents, educators, families and physicians who know someone with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The book is under contract with Tate Publishing. I have had to learn a lot of patience through this process. It is in the final stages of editing/design and production but it probably will not be in the bookstores until February. The plan is to have lots of book signings in Lubbock, Midland, San Angelo and Abilene! Please pray that it touches many lives and stops women from drinking while they are pregnant! Ashley is having a great year in school. She is on a new medication and she smiles more than ever!
My next excuse is that we finally sold our house, moved into a temporary apartment and bought a new house. We love it. I am still not quite settled but I get a little done each day.
Grant is thriving in school. He has officially been identified as that 1% child prodigy level. He is simply amazing. We pray every day that God continues to lead us in the right direction to provide Grant with all the academic challenges he desperately needs yet nurturing that sweet spirit and personality within him that is so rare.
My baby, Brooke, started kindergarten this year. I think that was more of an adjustment for me than her. She absolutely loves school, her friends and being the helper. I think she will be a teacher one day!

Prayers and Parties!

Today is my sweet baby's 5th birthday. I can't believe she is already that old. I wish time would stand still for just a moment. I thought I would share her cute invitation with you. Greeting cards and invitations have become one of my most favorite parts of my job.

More Midland Dates

I have added some more Midland dates and times to my online calendar. I will actually be in Midland all weekend October 17, 18 and 19! I can try to squeeze in as many sittings and viewing appointments as possible because I only have one more date in November and December.
I have also decided not to have the annual pumpkin patch. David will be traveling in October and I just don't think I could pull it off. However, I will gladly meet you somewhere for cute pumpkin pics!

The Glowing Groom

I have shot many weddings in the last 5 years or so but I don't think I have ever seen a groom glow as much as the bride. This man is completely in love with his new bride and his love shined throughout the entire night. I LOVE the way he looks at her! This wedding was so much fun, so beautiful and so full of love. They each have amazing families and that is what made this amazing couple fall in love.
